Brindley Performance is a Huge Success!

April 4, 2018

400 young voices representing 20 schools from across Halton and Warrington took part in the 2018 ‘COHS Magical Musicals’ event at The Brindley Theatre, Runcorn, performing to a packed audience on each of the 3 nights.

In addition to the massed choir items, the show, which ran from 19th – 21st March, showcased individual primary school choirs and talented soloists from both primary and secondary.

“It was a privilege to work with such a wonderful team of teachers and TA’s on this event and would like to acknowledge the amount of time and effort they put into preparing the songs.

In relation to our vocal offer, The Brindley Theatre provides Accent Music Education Hub with a prestigious venue where schools can perform and lasting memories can be made. I never cease to be amazed by the talent that exists amongst our young singers; some of the individual performances were outstanding and will remain with me for a very long time!”

“It was amazing....I can't think why I didn't want to be in it at first. It was fantastic!”

Year 6 Pupil (Male): Castle View Primary, Runcorn

Just opened my emails to message you to say a huge thank you for arranging such a fabulous event!

We all enjoyed it immensely. We have had really positive comments from the parents and staff who were part of the audience.

Michelle Culliford – Deputy Head Teacher: Croft Primary, Warrington

Many thanks for organising the recent COHS event, ‘Magical Musicals’. Once again it was it was an entertaining show which showcased the singing talents of the children. We are always keen to be part of the event because it provides our children with the opportunity to sing with a large choir and to perform in front of a large audience on a professional stage. The children were thrilled to take part and are growing in confidence. We appreciate the efforts to put on such an event and thank you all again for the opportunities and experiences it created for our children.

Janette Gregg – Headteacher: Gorsewood Primary, Runcorn

Thanks, again! We had a brilliant night and the children and parents loved it! One of my children said "I've has always wanted to see backstage in a theatre and now I've done it!". When I asked if they wanted to do it again and they all said yes.

I know what I'm letting myself in for next year and I'm looking forward to doing it again too!

Dawn Lloyd – Deputy Head: St Elphin’s CE Primary School, Warrington

The concert was so enjoyable for the children and I’m sure it will remain a good memory for years for them. The choice of songs was super and again, the children will remember them for years to come. Thank you from me and the St John Fisher choir.

Felicity Cunliffe – Music Co-ordinator: St John Fisher Catholic Primary

Thank you, Janet for putting on such an excellent event.

The girls really enjoyed performing and seeing the other performances, as did the staff who attended. Thanks for including us in this; I look forward to the next event.
