Richard Jones, Brass Tutor for Accent Music Education Hub, performs an Outstanding Concert at St. Andrew's Church

Richard Jones, Brass Tutor for Accent Music Education Hub arranged yet another outstanding concert which brought together an array of soloists and instrumental groups at St Andrew’s Church, Orford on Thursday, 23 March 2017.

 

The concert showcased players of all standards and was themed around Musicals. Performances from the Community Wind Band, Halton Wind Band, Halton Rising Stars, St Margaret’s Strings Aloud Ensemble, Mixed Primary School Brass Ensemble, Culcheth Music Ensemble  and St Margaret’s Choir,  were all enjoyed by the Mayor and Mayoress of Halton, the Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington, and family and friends.

 

Solos were performed by Olly Murphy on Cornet, Eliza Fox on Trumpet, Annie Stuart on Cornet and Ffion Church on Tenor Horn, to resounding applause from the audience.

Chris Bastock, Progressions and Ensembles Manager for Accent Music Education Hub said: “It is fantastic to see so many young people confident with performances, and watching their progress from performance to performance shows just how dedicated and talented the music tutors who support them are. Special thanks to Mr Jones for continuing to provide such inclusive performance opportunities for the young people in our area!”
