January 11, 2016

Schools across Warrington and Halton joined together as a community to perform a selection of Christmas repertoire at the Accent annual Mayor's Charity Christmas Concert at St. Elphin's Church, Warrington.

Children shared their musical skills with the Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington, family, friends and special guests, as well as developing their confidence and gaining a well-earned sense of achievement with their teachers and tutors.  Families commented on the wonderful atmosphere and how the event gets them into the Christmas spirit!.

Schools participating were Saints Peter & Paul Catholic College performing with their Secondary Samba Group, St. Margaret's CE Primary Strings Project, Amelia Stuart Soloist, Westbrook Old Hall Primary Key Stage 2 Choir, Accent Community Wind band, St. Elphin's (Fairfield) CE Primary Whole Class Keyboard Project, Jennie Worrall, Soloist, St. Margaret's CE Primary, Penketh South Community Primary, St. Andrew's CE Primary, Appleton Thorn Primary Whole Class Gospel Project.

The generous audience raised money for the  Mayor's Christmas Charity Appeal.
