Accent’ Music Education Hub were delighted to perform to a packed audience at the annual Keyboard Concert performed by children from Warrington who have been participating in the whole class keyboard project this year.
Children from St Stephens Catholic Primary, Alderman Bolton Community Primary, Woolston Community Primary, Newchurch Community Primary, Our Lady’s Catholic Primary, St Barnabas CE Primary, St Augustine’s Catholic Primary, St Wilfrid’s CE Primary, St Paul of the Cross Catholic Primary and Oakwood Avenue Community Primary performed a variety of repertoire to demonstrate the musical skills and progression they have acquired during the project. 300 children met together for the first time to perform and show off their instrumental and vocal talents in a prestigious setting.
The fun, fast-paced lessons build children’s confidence and self–esteem and Accent is proud to give the children this opportunity to perform.
Compere and Lead Keyboard Tutor/Learning and Marketing Manager Fran Sixsmith, a winner of the Classic FM Peripatetic Music Teacher of The Year Award, compered the evening joined by Music Tutors Su Ancliffe and Heather Clarke to celebrate the children’s achievements.
Fran was delighted to be joined by The Heath colleague Alison Dale and a special student performance by student Codi Jacques to inspire the children.
There was a rapturous applause from the packed out audience to the delight of all the children, Class Teachers, Head Teachers and Accent Team.
Cllr Jean Carter said,’ This was a wonderful opportunity for our children to perform at The Parr Hall, the enthusiasm and keyboard skills from the children was a delight to watch and enjoy. Congratulations Accent on a fantastic event’.
