Outstanding performance at St. Andrews Church

December 1, 2015

Accent Music Education Hub Brass Tutor, Richard Jones, defied a hospital admittance and drove the 100 mile round-trip to rally Brass players from various projects across Warrington in his annual St Andrew’s Church Christmas Concert.

The concert showcased ensembles and soloists of all standards, and for the first time included a vocal ensemble, a welcome addition to the evening. The Accent Community Wind Band, The RM trio, The Accent Brass Ensemble and The Culcheth Music Ensemble all performed to the festive audience, and solos were heard from trombonist Yasmin Dudley-Ward, trombonist Luke Degenhart, Cornet player Amelia Stuart, Tenor Hornist Jennie Worral, Tenor Hornist Ffion Church and Euphonium player Jamie Reid.

Councillor Jean Carter, Lead Member for Children’s Services, Warrington Borough Council said “the young people performed to such a high standard they clearly work hard practicing their musical skills and the talent on the evening was outstanding, they are a credit to themselves, their families and Music Tutor Mr. Jones”.

Well done to all the performers and to Richard Jones, who yet again showed what an inspirational and supportive tutor he is!
