The Jane and Stephen Murphy Foundation support Accent

September 22, 2015

10 year old musician Amelia is the first to receive a bursary set to give students across the town 'a chance to progress' to ensure their development is not held back.

The Jane and Stephen Murphy Foundation have funded piano lessons for one year.  Amelia has also passed Grade 4 cornet.  Dr Michael Murphy said "we are looking for talented individuals to help - it is a great opportunity".  "Amelia was really over the moon and she deserves it, to be able to play two instruments is just fabulous.  It is a chance to develop musicians and artists to give them a chance to progress - we don't want anybody in the town held back because of a shortage of resources".
