Music and Movement - Early Years and Key Stage One
Early Years and Key Stage 1 Music and Movement projects are fun and engaging for children from 3-7 years old. The projects develop musical, listening and social skills within a themed musical lesson involving a range of activities including responding to live music, singing, games and playing musical instruments.
The aim of the project is to develop understanding and enjoyment of music by developing general musicianship skills and using musical vocabulary. 10 weekly sessions of 45 minutes build on previous learning and encourage active participation and listening. Projects can be tailored to the specific social needs of a class (e.g. adapted to nursery age with shorter lessons/ smaller group size), a particular theme or a specific musical skill.
